Dak Lak has 2 farmers awarded the title "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer" in 2025

Among them, Mr. Nguyen An Son is one of the farmers who boldly innovated in local production. Owning 6.5 hectares of coffee, instead of cultivating by traditional methods, Mr. Son applied the technique of planting multiple trunks without restraining the top, combined with the Israeli drip irrigation system to both provide water and supplement nutrients for the plants. At the same time, he equipped modern processing machines, contributing to improving the quality and reputation of local coffee products.

Thanks to synchronous innovations, from 2021 to now, the productivity of his coffee garden has increased significantly, 1.5 times higher than before, reaching an average of 5.5 tons of beans/ha. After deducting expenses, his family's average annual profit is more than 1 billion VND.

After many years of raising cows but with low efficiency, in 2021, Mr. Hoang Van Nhieu decided to switch to raising ostriches. From the initial difficulties in converting livestock, up to now, the family's ostrich farming model has brought clear economic efficiency. With 4 female ostriches, each year Mr. Nhieu's family has a revenue of nearly 100 million VND from selling commercial eggs and breeding animals. At the same time, Mr. Nhieu maintains a herd of 6 sows, selling 100 - 120 pigs to the market each year, earning 700 - 900 million VND.

The title “Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer” is a noble award to honor and encourage dynamic and creative farmers in economic development; daring to think and act, exploiting and effectively using capital, labor and land resources, boldly applying science and technology, new technologies in production, increasing income, improving the lives of rural residents. At the same time, it contributes to spreading the industrious and hard-working spirit of Vietnamese farmers, gradually building a model of ecological agriculture , modern countryside and civilized farmers in the coming time.
