Despite undergoing a major transformation, medical examination and treatment services at all three facilities of Tien Yen Regional General Hospital are still maintained stably, ensuring that people do not have interrupted access to regular health care. Many people share their satisfaction when coming to the facility for examination. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen (Truong Tien village, Hai Lang commune) said: "Every time I am sick, I choose to go to the hospital because the procedures are quick and simple, the doctors are dedicated, and it is close to home so I feel very secure. We also hope that the hospital will have many high-tech services and more good doctors so that people do not have to go far to get medical treatment."
At the Outpatient Department at the first facility, the number of patients coming for examination has increased significantly, with about 300 people/day. This shows the people's trust in the hospital's professional quality. According to Dr. CKI Bui Quang Huy, Deputy Head of the Outpatient Department, with the increased number of patients, the hospital has standardized the process, shortened waiting time, and applied information technology. At the same time, under the direction of the hospital's leadership, the Outpatient Department has also increased the number of doctors to support facilities 2 and 3, helping people to be examined more conveniently and promptly.
At the Department of Internal Medicine, Facility 1, the team of doctors can currently treat most common diseases of the musculoskeletal system, internal neurology, digestion, urinary - kidney, cardiovascular, hypertension, diabetes... Many chronic patients are stably managed right at the grassroots level, significantly limiting the need for referral to the province.
Ms. Vu Thi Nhiem (Ngan Meo village, Luc Hon commune) shared: “During the time of lung disease treatment at the hospital, although I did not have relatives to take care of me, I was always cared for, encouraged and supported wholeheartedly by the doctors. The doctors carefully guided each step in the treatment process, explaining clearly to make me feel more secure. Thanks to that, I feel very confident when receiving treatment here.”

Along with the increase in the number of patients, the demand for improving professional quality is also higher. The Department of Internal Medicine has promoted training, standardized treatment procedures and applied information technology to manage medical records, aiming to increase satisfaction and create trust for people right at the grassroots health care level. Doctor CK1 Lai Thi Thu Trang, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, said: "We maintain a group of internal medicine experts between 3 facilities via zalo. Previously, some cases at facilities 2 and 3 had to be transferred to the provincial level, now we consult remotely, guide the treatment regimen, or transfer medicine and supplies when patients cannot travel far. Thanks to that, many patients are treated locally."
After the reorganization, Tien Yen Regional General Hospital has 311 staff, including 81 doctors, nearly 45% of whom have postgraduate degrees. This is an important force that helps the hospital synchronously deploy techniques and many advanced, specialized techniques, contributing to strengthening people's trust in primary health care.
Doctor CKII Nguyen Thanh Lam, Director of the hospital, said: "Since its establishment, we have set a goal of not interrupting medical examination and treatment activities. The hospital quickly caught up, maintained routine expertise and gradually improved service quality. We made the most of existing equipment, enhanced training, promoted digital transformation and connected remote professional support with provincial and upper levels, thereby improving service quality and creating satisfaction for the people."

The improvement of the organization, standardization of expertise, effective application of technology and strengthening of connections between facilities are helping Tien Yen Regional General Hospital make a clear change in the work of taking care of people's health. This is an important foundation for the unit to strive to become a class II hospital, better meeting the medical examination and treatment needs of people in the eastern region of the province.
