The third session of the Long Bien Ward People's Council resolved many key goals for 2026.

HNP - On December 8, the Provisional People's Council of Long Bien ward (term 2021-2026) held its third session at the meeting hall of the Party Committee - People's Council headquarters of the ward.

Attending the meeting were comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee; Standing Committee of the People's Council; leaders of the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee of the ward; comrades Heads and Deputy Heads of the People's Council Committees; leaders of departments, offices, and affiliated units; and all delegates of the People's Council of Long Bien ward.

The meeting was held to comprehensively assess the results of the implementation of socio-economic development, national defense and security tasks in 2025; at the same time, review, discuss and resolve key goals and solutions for 2026. In a democratic, serious and responsible working atmosphere, the ward People's Council delegates focused highly and contributed many practical opinions to the contents presented at the meeting.

In his closing speech, comrade Nguyen Manh Ha - Party Secretary, Chairman of Long Bien Ward People's Council highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the delegates and affirmed that the meeting had completed the entire agenda. All contents of the meeting were thoroughly discussed and voted for by the Ward People's Council with high consensus.

Accordingly, the Ward People's Council has resolved many important contents, including: Orientation, tasks, key solutions for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in 2026; Socio-economic development plan targets and revenue and expenditure estimates in 2026; List and plan of public investment capital of the ward in 2026; Administrative and career staffing targets and non-professional staffing targets.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Ha emphasized that the adopted resolutions have decisive significance for mobilizing and allocating resources, ensuring conditions for the ward political system to operate "effectively - efficiently - effectively", contributing to increasingly better meeting the needs and aspirations of the people.

The Chairman of the People's Council requested the Ward People's Committee to promptly concretize the resolutions into action plans and programs; clearly assign responsibilities to each unit, regularly inspect, urge, and ensure implementation progress. At the same time, the Standing Committee of the People's Council and the People's Council Committees need to continue to promote their supervisory role, promptly propose solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process.

Previously, presenting a report at the meeting, comrade Pham Thi Bich Hang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Bien Ward said that 2025 is a particularly important year when Long Bien Ward officially operates the 2-level local government model after the administrative unit arrangement. In the context of a large area, large population, and a large amount of transferred work, the ward still fully completed the assigned key tasks.

According to the report, the ward has completed 12/12 legal targets, of which the budget revenue target reached 52.5 billion VND, equal to 114% of the assigned estimate. All 22 additional targets assigned by the Ward People's Committee according to local practice were completed.

Trade and service activities continued to be stable, with 283 business registration applications received and 165 new households approved. The area of ​​safe crops and vegetables was maintained at over 200 hectares, of which 70 hectares applied VietGAP procedures.

In the field of public investment, the disbursement rate is expected to reach 99.91%, many important infrastructure projects have been approved, started and completed on schedule. Site clearance, a difficult task, has achieved remarkable results with 605/1056 households receiving payment, recovering more than 245,000 m² of land, contributing to speeding up the progress of key projects. Urban management has clearly changed, administrative discipline has been strengthened.

The ward has launched many campaigns to maintain urban order and environmental sanitation; strictly handled cases of encroachment on roads and sidewalks; and maintained the general cleaning model on Saturday mornings. Construction order management has been strictly implemented, 243 new construction projects are licensed, no illegal or improper construction has occurred.

In 2025, the ward also organized many large-scale cultural and sports activities, especially participating in the performance of the Sitting Tug of War ritual and game at the Thang Long - Hanoi Festival in 2025; the rate of cultural families reached 91.69%, 34/37 residential groups achieved the title of Cultural Residential Group. Schools continued to maintain quality, students won many awards at the district, city, national and international levels; digital transformation in education was promoted.

The ward has fully implemented policies and regimes for 2,389 meritorious people, effectively deployed social protection tasks, child care, and disease prevention. Security and order, fire prevention work has been deployed drastically, preventing complicated situations from occurring.

According to comrade Nguyen Quang Toan, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Long Bien Ward, the third session of the People's Council of the Ward ended successfully, demonstrating the unity and high consensus of the delegates and agencies in the political system. The resolutions passed will be an important basis for Long Bien Ward to continue to develop in a civilized, modern and sustainable direction in 2026.
