Conference on implementing and disseminating the Law on Social Insurance 2024

Conference to disseminate the Law on Social Insurance 2024.

Attending the conference were leaders and experts from departments, branches and sectors under the Provincial People's Committee; leaders, officials and employees working in social insurance at the grassroots level. The conference was held in person and online in 75 communes and wards in the province.

At the conference, delegates were informed about the Law on Social Insurance (SI) 2024, consisting of 11 chapters and 141 articles, effective from July 1, 2025 with many major changes and additional benefits for participants, such as: Supplementing social pension benefits; expanding the subjects eligible to participate in compulsory social insurance and voluntary social insurance; changing regulations on enjoying sick leave; supplementing maternity and occupational accident benefits to the voluntary social insurance policy; supplementing regulations on supplementary pension insurance... The Law also increases the opportunity to receive pensions for SI participants by reducing the condition on the minimum number of years of social insurance contributions to receive pensions from 20 years to 15 years...

These are amendments that have a profound impact on employees as well as agencies, organizations and enterprises employing labor, aiming to promptly implement important contents of the 2024 Social Insurance Law, ensuring unified, synchronous and effective implementation; helping agencies, organizations, enterprises and people to grasp and properly implement new regulations; at the same time creating conditions for cadres and civil servants to promptly access and proactively adapt in performing their tasks.
