Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Kim Lien Ward People's Committee Truong Minh Quang emphasized that although not a location for key national activities, Kim Lien Ward has excellently completed assigned tasks, leaving many outstanding marks in many fields.
Notably, the ward organized a general cleaning with more than 500 participants, eliminated 5 black spots of waste, handled 63 administrative violations, and removed 114 illegal advertising signs. The functional forces coordinated and were on duty 24/7, ensuring absolute safety.
The ward also promoted decoration and enhanced visual propaganda on 10 LED screens; at the same time, successfully organized exciting cultural and artistic programs such as the program "80 years - Radiant country", attracting more than 1,000 people to participate.
Regarding the work of honoring people with meritorious services, the ward organized 2 delegations to visit veteran revolutionary cadres and a meeting to honor 156 people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs. The total allowance payment in August was more than 2.23 billion VND for 798 cases; at the same time, the ward gave 156 more gifts worth 78 million VND.
In particular, the implementation of the major policy of the Party, the State and the City on giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution. Despite the urgent time, coinciding with the holiday, all ward officials did not rest and were highly focused. The ward applied a scientific approach, using population data from the Ministry of Public Security 's software combined with actual confirmation to create an accurate and public list.
Thanks to that, by the end of September 15, the ward had paid 91,036/98,776 people, reaching a rate of 92.16% with a total cost of more than 9.1 billion VND. This success affirms the spirit of "Close to the people", the solidarity, determination and experience in effective population management of the Kim Lien ward political system.
With outstanding results, Kim Lien ward was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee for its excellent achievements in implementing commemorative activities.
At the conference, Kim Lien ward awarded 14 collectives and 134 individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing activities to celebrate National Day September 2.
