National online conference to deploy judicial work in 2024

In 2023, the Ministry of Justice closely followed the leadership of the Party, the National Assembly , the Government and the Prime Minister, completed and exceeded the set targets, ensuring progress and quality; direction and administration continued to have many innovations and high efficiency.

Some areas of work achieved outstanding results such as: The work of building and perfecting institutions and laws was focused on and implemented vigorously by the Ministry and branches, achieving positive results. The work of checking and reviewing legal documents was carried out promptly with a large volume of work, contributing to ensuring the consistency, publicity, transparency and feasibility of the legal system; the participation in giving legal opinions with the Government and authorities at all levels in socio-economic development was highly appreciated.

Communication, dissemination of policies, laws, and mediation at the grassroots level were effectively implemented. The enforcement of civil judgments achieved the highest results ever. Institutions in the field of judicial support continued to be improved, meeting the requirements of preventing and combating corruption, negativity, and state management.

Legal aid work has achieved impressive results, especially the establishment of a direct legal aid mechanism in criminal investigations nationwide, the highest number of legal aid cases ever... Those results continue to make important contributions to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security, social order and safety of the country and each locality.

At the conference, delegates from ministries, branches and localities discussed and proposed directions and tasks for the Judiciary in 2024, which are: Timely grasp, advise on full institutionalization and effective implementation of resolutions, directives, conclusions and guiding documents of the Party Central Committee, Politburo, Secretariat, National Assembly, Government and Prime Minister related to the areas of work of the Ministry of Justice.

Effectively implement the Law and Ordinance Development Program of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee. Strictly implement Regulation No. 132-QD/TW dated October 27, 2023 of the Politburo on controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and negativity in investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments.

Timely and effectively carry out the tasks of the Judicial sector according to Project No. 06 of the Prime Minister on enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of State management and the quality of public services in the fields of civil status, nationality, authentication; judicial support; adoption; judicial records; legal aid; legal support for businesses. Carry out international cooperation well in law-making. Perfect the institutions in the sector's development work to successfully complete assigned tasks.

In Ninh Binh, in 2023, the Department of Justice has closely followed the Work Program of the Ministry of Justice and the Provincial People's Committee, synchronously implementing key tasks in all fields. The work of drafting and appraising legal documents has always been focused on and researched and innovated to ensure quality. 100% of draft legal documents with complex content and legal documents drafted by the Department of Justice have established an appraisal advisory council. The work of disseminating and educating the law has conveyed the basic and practical content of new policies, guidelines, and legal documents that have come into effect to people and organizations.

The application of information technology, digital transformation in handling administrative procedures and the use of software have brought many benefits to citizens and organizations. Inspections and checks are ensured on schedule; citizen reception is carried out regularly, all citizens' opinions are promptly handled, preventing urgent and complicated situations from occurring. The task of preventing and combating corruption and negativity is closely directed in the right direction. Coordination with central agencies, agencies of the Party, People's Council, Vietnam Fatherland Front, agencies, organizations, and socio-political organizations of the province in performing tasks in sectors and fields has been strengthened.

At the conference, many collectives and individuals of the Judiciary sector were commended and rewarded.

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the efforts and results of the Ministry of Justice in 2023. The contributions of the Justice sector have made a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of the whole country as well as in localities.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that in the coming time, the institution building needs to be timely and of high quality. The Ministry of Justice needs to do a better job of appraising legal documents. Actively reform administrative procedures, digital transformation, and apply science and technology to the work of the sector. Do a better job of disseminating the law. Improve the quality of law enforcement, bring the law into life. Build a clean and strong justice sector. Each justice sector official is a role model in disseminating the law and enforcing the law.
