On the morning of April 17, the Party Central Committee Secretariat held an online conference to disseminate Conclusion No. 132-KL/TW dated March 18, 2025 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive 36-CT/TW of 2019 of the Politburo on strengthening and improving the effectiveness of drug prevention, control and combat. As planned, at the conference, delegates watched a report on the results of 5 years of implementing Directive 36-CT/TW in 2019 of the Politburo on strengthening and improving the effectiveness of drug prevention, control and combat. Thoroughly grasp the basic contents of Conclusion No. 132-KL/TW dated March 18, 2025 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive 36-CT/TW in 2019 of the Politburo on strengthening and improving the effectiveness of drug prevention, control and combat. At the same time, delegates from ministries, branches and localities discussed the current situation and proposed solutions for drug prevention, control and combat.

Conclusion No. 132 assessed that after 5 years of implementing Directive No. 36, the legal system on drug prevention, control and control has been gradually improved. Drug prevention work has been focused on with many rich and diverse contents and forms of propaganda. The fight against drug crimes and evils has been vigorously deployed, destroying many large drug crime lines and organizations. Specialized forces have closely and effectively coordinated in investigating, prosecuting and trying drug crimes. The management of drug addicts, illegal drug users and post-rehabilitation management has been implemented uniformly from the grassroots level.

However, there are still some limitations such as: the drug crime situation is still very complicated, the management work is not timely and strict, many cases of mental disorders, "stoned" causing serious crimes; drug rehabilitation, vocational training support, job creation for people after drug rehabilitation are not very effective; the management of investment and business sectors with conditions on security and order sometimes and in some places still has loopholes, posing a potential risk of crime and drug abuse, etc.
