The route starts at Tan Phu Dong commune (Dong Thap province), passes through Ben Tre, connects Tra Vinh by Co Chien 2 bridge, and intersects with the Tra Vinh coastal corridor (Vinh Long province), designed according to the standards of a grade III plain road, with a 22.5m wide roadbed, 21.5m wide road surface, arranged with 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles.
The bridge system on the route is also of similar scale, ensuring synchronization of the entire route. On the coastal road through Vinh Long province, Co Chien 2 bridge is one of the key projects with a total investment of about 3,500 billion VND. The People's Council of Tra Vinh province previously approved the investment policy with a total capital of more than VND 9,100 billion, of which 90% is ADB loan capital allocated by the central budget and 10% is re-loan capital and local counterpart capital. This is an important component, contributing to the completion of the inter-regional coastal traffic axis.
According to the People's Committee of Vinh Long province, the coastal road project through the province is part of the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026 - 2030.
