The conference discussed the following contents: Assessing the importance and necessity of organizing a workshop on historical figures and relics in the City in the historical source of Cao Bang province, on that basis, proposing to the province solutions for research, construction, preservation and promotion of heritage values, in order to contribute to promoting economic , cultural, social, defense and security development in the new context, new era. Identifying the key tasks of the City in the process of compiling the Cao Bang History or Cao Bang Geographical Records, ensuring comprehensiveness, scientificity and suitability with the requirements of sustainable development of the locality.
The new Cao Bang Gazetteer was compiled with the main contents of the sections according to the Vietnam National Gazetteer standards. It is expected to have about 1,000 - 1,200 sections, structured into 1 volume of 5 - 7 volumes, with 30 - 40 chapters. The main activities of the research and compilation process of the new Cao Bang Gazetteer include: Collecting and gathering documents; building regulations; organizing field surveys; compiling 1,000 sections in the volumes and chapters; organizing scientific seminars and conferences; researching and designing a system of maps, illustrations, reference materials, and reference books; building a digital database; editing and publishing.
The Cao Bang History Set is expected to include 6 volumes, specifically: Volume 1 - Cao Bang History from the beginning to 1400; Volume 2, from 1400 - 1802; Volume 3 from 1802 - 1945; Volume 4 from 1945 - 1975; Volume 5 from 1975 - 2025; Volume 6 - Common History of Cao Bang. The main activities of the research and compilation process of the new Cao Bang History include: Collecting and gathering documents from central and local archives, at home and abroad; dividing history, building compilation methods; organizing field surveys of the entire province; compiling the contents of volumes and chapters; organizing scientific seminars and talks; researching and designing a system of maps, illustrations, reference materials, and reference books; building a digital database; editing and publishing.
At the conference, delegates gave their opinions on the research on the famous general Nung Tri Cao, in order to clarify his contributions to the nation's history, thereby proposing solutions to preserve and promote heritage values; organizing specialized seminars to clarify the values of ecological environment, geopolitics, geo-culture, historical and cultural values of ethnic groups, and human resources; organizing investigation activities to collect data on cultural heritage and cultural heritage in the whole province, a part of cultural heritage data may be stored at domestic and foreign management agencies...
