Scientific workshop "Free Trade Zone Models in Some Countries in the World - Lessons for Quang Tri"

QTO - On the morning of August 28, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission organized a scientific workshop with the theme "Free Trade Zone Models in Some Countries in the World - Lessons for Quang Tri". Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Truong An Ninh and former member of the Standing Committee, former Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Ho Dai Nam chaired the workshop.

Attending the event were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee Tran Vu Khiem; Head of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee Ho Thi Thu Hang; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Chien Thang; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dao Manh Hung; representatives of leaders of departments, branches and sectors; scientists and experts.

Speaking at the workshop, former Standing Committee member and former Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Ho Dai Nam emphasized that Quang Tri is a province with a particularly important strategic position in the North Central region, with three international land border gates Lao Bao, La Lay and Cha Lo; two deep-water seaports Hon La and My Thuy, with great potential for developing logistics and cross-border trade connecting the supply chain on the East-West economic corridor.

The workshop is part of the provincial scientific research project "Research on theoretical and practical basis of Free Trade Zones, proposing models and solutions for implementation in Quang Tri province" chaired and organized by the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department with the aim of contributing to clarifying the theoretical basis and practical experience of Free Trade Zones of some countries in the world , thereby connecting and drawing lessons for Quang Tri province.

In his concluding remarks at the workshop, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Truong An Ninh respectfully thanked the experts and scientists for their contributions at the workshop; and at the same time emphasized a number of policies, potentials and advantages in building a Free Trade Zone model in Quang Tri province.
