Tuyen Phu Commune: People hand over a python weighing over 7kg

QTO - On August 28, the People's Committee of Tuyen Phu commune said that it had just coordinated with the local Forest Rangers and the family of Mr. Hoang Van Dung (Dong Phu village) to hand over a python to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms (Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park).

The python was handed over to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms (Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park).

The python weighed 7.3 kg and belonged to group IIB (group of endangered, rare and precious wild animals in need of urgent protection). According to Mr. Hoang Van Dung, he discovered the python in his garden. After learning that this was a rare animal, he proactively contacted the local authorities and local forest rangers to hand it over.

After receiving it, Tuyen Phu Commune People's Committee and local forest rangers handed over the python to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms (Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park) for further monitoring and care before releasing it back into the natural environment.
