Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Dieu Le - representative of the research team from the Center for Transformational Innovation at Swinburne University of Technology - Australia, presented analysis and forecasts on Vietnam's labor market needs. The studies showed an increase in labor demand in areas such as IT, AI and data science, and identified occupations with labor shortages. The presentation also provided forecasts on the annual growth of the labor force and proposed potential areas of cooperation between Vietnamese and Australian universities.

Ms. Pham Hoang Vy Anh - Business Development Director at Shopee Vietnam, provided an employer's perspective on the skill sets that will be in demand in the future. The presentation discussed the differences between current training programs and practical skill requirements. The speaker also emphasized the importance of aligning educational outcomes with industry needs and discussed opportunities in continuous training and skills development.
The pioneering role of universities in digital economy skills training
Dr. Hoang Viet Ha - Director of the FPT University - Swinburne University Joint Program, introduced Swinburne University's approach to digital economy skills training through industry partnerships and innovative curricula. The presentation emphasized collaboration with companies, startups and internships that will provide students with practical experience in digital innovation. The presentation also emphasized the importance of integrating technologies such as data analytics and cybersecurity into the curriculum.
The workshop series concluded with a panel discussion sharing experiences and perspectives on a range of topics including gender equality in the digital economy, lifelong learning strategies for graduates, and essential elements in designing and implementing educational collaboration programs.
