Kinhtedothi - In 2025, Son La province will have more than 1,800 citizens enlisting to fulfill their military service and public security service obligations.

On the morning of February 15th, ceremonies for the handover and reception of new recruits for 2025 were simultaneously held in Son La city, Moc Chau town, and districts throughout Son La province.

The quality of military recruitment in Son La in 2025 will be higher than in 2024 in all three criteria: health categories 1 and 2 increased by 1.2%; education: high school level increased by 1.3%; college and university level increased by 0.6%; 3 Party members enlisted in the army; and 744 citizens across the province submitted applications to volunteer for military service.

A new feature in the 2025 military recruitment process is that the Provincial Military Service Council will focus on improving the political and health quality of recruits; prioritizing the selection of citizens in border areas, remote areas; citizens with university or college degrees; and cadres, civil servants, and public employees who are of eligible age for military service.

At the troop handover ceremony, leaders from the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 2, and Son La province encouraged and expressed their confidence in the new recruits, hoping that they would uphold the traditions of their homeland, strive to train and study, strictly abide by military discipline, and continuously cultivate the moral qualities of a revolutionary soldier, worthy of the title of "Ho Chi Minh's Soldier" in the new era.
