On the afternoon of July 18, the Standing Committee of the Ha Tinh Women's Union held a conference to launch the project "Preventing human trafficking, phase 2, 2025" sponsored by Bread for the World .

In recent years, the situation of illegal migration and human trafficking crimes in the world and Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, has continued to have complex developments with increasingly sophisticated nature, methods and tricks. In particular, many human trafficking rings have appeared with tricks such as "easy work, high salary"; organizing victims to cross the border by land and sea to force them to work illegally in neighboring countries, in which many people are beaten, bought and sold, exchanged between many employers, when the victims want to return home, they have to pay a large ransom.

The Anti-Human Trafficking Project is implemented with the aim of supporting local people, especially women members at risk of being trafficked in communes in the project area, to be better protected, creating opportunities for women to improve their economic situation .
After 3 years, the Phase 1 Anti-Human Trafficking Project has been implemented in accordance with the commitment to the sponsor, in accordance with the provisions of Vietnamese law; 100% of targets and indicators have been achieved and exceeded. The project's activities have brought about practical results, contributing to the implementation of Plan No. 167/KH-UBND, dated May 17, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the program to prevent and combat human trafficking in the period of 2021-2025 and orientation to 2030; building and developing the socio-economy in localities. Therefore, Bread for the World has decided to continue sponsoring the Ha Tinh Provincial Women's Union as a partner to implement the next phase of the project.
In this phase, the project will be implemented in communes such as Ky Anh, Ky Khang, Can Loc, Tung Loc, Gia Hanh, Hong Loc, Mai Phu with a total investment capital of 265,000 EUR, equivalent to 6,837 billion VND.

In the coming time, the Women's Unions of communes will proactively develop detailed plans to implement activities in the locality; coordinate with relevant units to prepare relevant conditions to ensure effective organization of activities. At the same time, direct and guide grassroots associations to promote communication activities in the community to ensure quality and time according to plan.
To achieve the project's goals, the Provincial Women's Union hopes that the Party Committee, government, departments and branches from the province to the commune continue to pay attention to directing and creating conditions for the unions at all levels to effectively implement activities according to the project's plan.
