More than 71 billion VND to repair subsidence on Ho Chi Minh road

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just approved a project to repair and overcome the incident on Ho Chi Minh Road (old National Highway 14), the section passing through Bac Gia Nghia Ward, Lam Dong Province. The repair is expected to be completed by mid-2026.

The total cost for repairing, overcoming the subsidence and landslides and restoring normal traffic on this road section is more than 71 billion VND. The capital is self-guaranteed by the enterprise and paid back by the competent authority by adjusting the toll collection time of the project. The total length of the subsidence section to be repaired is nearly 550m. After repair, the subsidence section will basically be restored to its original state before the incident. It is expected that the repair will be implemented soon and will be completed by mid-2026 at the latest. Ho Chi Minh Road is currently the main route connecting Lam Dong, the Central Highlands provinces with the southeastern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City. The subsidence and landslide incident at the above location occurred in early August 2023. This is the section assigned to Duc Long Dak Nong BOT & BT Joint Stock Company for management and operation.
