Ready to make a strong transformation in the journey to create a green, safe and sustainable mobility future, Honda Vietnam (HVN) aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 46% by 2030 and move towards zero net emissions by 2050. To realize that goal, HVN has researched and implemented many important projects, notably the roadmap for developing electric motorbikes in the Vietnamese market. Accordingly, on June 26, 2025, at Hanoi Post Office No. 75 Dinh Tien Hoang, HVN and Vietnam Post Corporation (Vietnam Post) held a handover ceremony of 205 Benly e electric motorbikes for postmen to use to transport mail and goods.
Vietnam Post Corporation - the enterprise with the largest postal infrastructure with a nationwide network - is currently one of HVN's strategic partners in the roadmap to convert to environmentally friendly delivery vehicles. Since 2021, the two sides have coordinated to implement a pilot project of electric delivery vehicles with 70 Benly e: electric vehicles. By 2024, an additional 130 vehicles were delivered in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing the total number of Honda Benly e: electric vehicles in operation to 200. This green means of transport has accompanied the postal team of Vietnam Post on a total delivery distance of up to 65,000 km.
After a period of project implementation, the Honda Benly e: electric vehicle was highly appreciated by the postal staff of Vietnam Post for its quality, durability and absolute safety. With a specialized design for transporting goods, Benly e: is a powerful assistant to help improve the working efficiency of postal staff, optimizing the ability to carry goods, including large-sized parcels. The positive feedback from the postal staff is the premise for HVN and Vietnam Post to expand the number and scope of this year's cooperation project with 205 Benly e: electric vehicles delivered. The companionship of Benly e: on every route is and will create positive changes for the environment, reduce emissions and refresh the image of the transportation service industry.
Besides Benly e:, HVN also introduced the ICON e: electric motorbike and CUV e: electric motorbike in the Vietnamese market, marking HVN's strong steps forward in the development of high-quality electric motorbike products in key markets.
Through the project of converting delivery vehicles to electric vehicles, HVN and Vietnam Post Corporation - two pioneering enterprises have demonstrated a clear step forward in their sustainable development strategy, as a deeper commitment to the common goal that has been pursued for many years since 2021. Not only contributing to reducing emissions in operations, this project also shows a real effort in pioneering with the Vietnamese Government to realize the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, while opening up a new direction for the urban transportation service industry.
