Honda City 2023 is the 5th generation, with 3 versions G, L, RS and 6 color options (depending on the version) with prices respectively: Honda City 1.5G is priced at 559 million VND; Honda City 1.5 L is priced at 589 million VND; Honda City 1.5 RS is priced at 609 million VND. In addition, the two red versions L and RS are priced 5 million VND higher. Thus, the above prices are 11-30 million VND higher than the old version. This price is 57-103 million VND higher than Accent (426 - 542 million VND) which was just launched earlier, and Toyota Vios (479 - 592). In this upgraded version of Honda City 2023, Honda Sensing safety technology will be standard equipment on all 3 versions, including features such as Collision Mitigation Braking (CMBS); Adaptive Cruise Control ACC); Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS); Lane Departure Mitigation (RDM); Automatic Adaptive High Beam (AHB) and Lead Vehicle Departure Warning (LCDN). In this upgrade, the G version has added adaptive cruise control and a 3-angle rear camera. In addition, the City 2023 is still equipped with a number of features such as 4 airbags in the G and L versions; 6 airbags in the RS version, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution system (EBD), traction control system (TCS), emergency braking system (BA), electronic balance system (VSA), hill start assist system (HSA) ... The car still meets the highest safety standard of 5 stars of ASEAN NCAP. Not only upgrading the features, Honda City 2023 will have 4-wheel disc brakes in the L and RS versions instead of the front disc brake and rear drum brake configuration in the current version, while the G version remains the same. In terms of engine, Honda City 2023 is still equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated gasoline engine as before, producing a maximum capacity of 119 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 145Nm at 4,300 rpm, with a CVT gearbox and front-wheel drive. Overall, Honda City 2023 is slightly longer than the current version. With overall dimensions of 4,589 x 1,748 x 1,467 mm, 36mm longer than the current version. The wheelbase remains at 2,700mm. The weight also increased by 6 kg to 1,140 kg. In terms of exterior design, Honda City 2023 is a mid-life upgrade (facelift) version and does not have too many changes. The horizontal bar above the new radiator grille is chrome-plated. The radiator grille design has also been redesigned into a honeycomb shape. The RS version has also changed from a honeycomb grille to a diamond shape and a lip on the side of the car, significantly increasing the
sportiness of the car. The lighting system remains full LED in the RS version, the L and G versions still use halogen lamps and do not have fog lights. The rims have a new design but still keep the same size of 15 inches for the G version; and 16 inches for the L and RS versions. Inside, the car has a new color screen behind the steering wheel (similar to the HR-V), a new 8-inch central screen with more colors with an IPS panel. In the RS version, the leather seats are stitched with red stitching with air vents instead of the previous suede. In addition, only the RS version has the Honda Connect system that allows connection to the phone. All 3 versions have black interiors but different decorative borders, the G version has silver borders, the L version is dark red, and the RS is sporty red. The ceiling of the G and L versions is beige while the RS version is black. In particular, the L version has many new upgrades similar to the RS version such as leather seats, remote start, paddle shifters on the steering wheel, automatic air conditioning, 8-speaker sound system... but still does not have a rear seat armrest like the RS version. Honda City 2023 continues to be assembled domestically, enjoying a 50% preferential registration fee from the Government applied from July 1 to December 31.
