Khau Pha Pass, along with Pha Din Pass, O Quy Ho Pass, and Ma Pi Leng Pass, is famous as one of the "four great mountain passes" in the Northwest highlands. Khau Pha Pass is about 30km long, at an altitude of 1,200m, in Yen Bai province. This is the pass that divides the border between Van Chan and Mu Cang Chai districts. Khau Pha Pass is famous for its winding pass with dangerous hairpin bends and precarious vertical cliffs. In the ethnic language, this mountain peak means "Horn of Heaven" - a mountain horn jutting up to the sky, with fog covering the top of the pass all year round.

The most impressive thing when conquering Khau Pha Pass is to immerse yourself in the majestic natural scenery. Visitors can admire the mountain ranges like curved horns rising among the white clouds. The winding mountain passes between the primeval forests and the terraced fields of the H'Mong and Thai ethnic groups.

The video "Yen Bay Mountain in Summer" was submitted by author Raymond Kuschert to the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award , and will take readers to the middle of floating clouds and mountains, admire the majestic mountains, the vast sky and land, and have exciting experiences to further love the majestic beauty of the Northwest of Vietnam.
