Honda Scoopy 2025 "gas guzzler" only 1.7 l/100 km is about to be sold in Vietnam?
An industrial design registration filed by Honda Vietnam with the National Office of Intellectual Property has revealed the image of the Honda Scoopy 2025 scooter model.

According to Volume 2 of Official Gazette No. 448, Volume A, recently published by the Vietnam Intellectual Property Office, Honda Vietnam has officially registered the industrial design copyright for a new scooter model. The images in the file show that this is the 6th generation Honda Scoopy. In addition to the overall design, Honda also registered additional details such as headlights, taillights and other parts, showing that the 2025 Scoopy will likely be assembled in Vietnam instead of just being imported privately as before.
The Honda Scoopy 2025 has overall dimensions of length x width x height of 1,869 x 693 x 1,075 mm, with a wheelbase of 1,251 mm. The saddle height is reduced to 746 mm, 18 mm lower than the previous version. The vehicle weighs 93-94 kg depending on the version, making it easy to control in urban environments. Scoopy 2025 retains its characteristic design style with soft curves but has significantly improved the lighting system. The LED headlights have a horizontal crystal pattern, combined with the DRL positioning lights to create a semicircle. The rear taillights create a harmonious connection with the front of the car, using asymmetrical red LEDs, while the signal lights are still Halogen.
The fully digital dashboard is a notable upgrade, fully displaying speed, fuel level and adding an ECO Riding indicator light to help drivers control fuel consumption effectively. Storage space has also been improved: the area under the steering wheel has two storage compartments, of which the left compartment has a capacity of 4 liters, 1.3 liters larger than the previous generation, and is integrated with a Type-C charging port. The vehicle uses a Smartkey smart locking system, increasing convenience and safety. This small scooter uses a newly designed 5-spoke 12-inch rim, front disc brake and rear drum brake. The suspension system includes front telescopic forks and a single-sided rear shock absorber. Honda Scoopy 2025 is equipped with a 110cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC, air-cooled engine. This engine block produces 8.8 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 9.2 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, on par with the current Honda Vision.
Although not officially distributed by Honda Vietnam, Scoopy has been quite popular in the domestic market thanks to private import dealers. The 2024 version is being offered for sale at around 35.5 million VND. In Indonesia, this model is sold in 4 versions: Energetic, Fashion, Stylish and Prestige. Prices range from 22.52 - 23.33 million rupiah (about 35.9 - 37.2 million VND).
