Accordingly, the 2026 Honda StepWGN Spada e:HEV high-riding MPV is distributed in Southeast Asia as a fully imported vehicle from Japan. The starting price is 629 million rupiah (approximately 1 billion VND). In terms of design, the StepWGN Spada e:HEV boasts a modern, highly practical style typical of a family MPV. The vehicle has a boxy shape, a high roof, and large windows, optimizing cabin space and passenger visibility.
The front end is striking with its large, gloss-black grille, combined with slim LED headlights and distinctive L-shaped daytime running lights. Large LED taillights are connected by a chrome bar, giving it a substantial and robust feel. These side doors also feature electric sliding functionality, allowing them to be opened or closed with the press of a button on the handle. However, the biggest change in the sixth generation compared to the fifth-generation StepWGN is at the rear, where the asymmetrical double-opening tailgate, which Honda calls Waku Waku, has disappeared. Inside, the Step WGN can be equipped with a large 11.4-inch free-standing central touchscreen linked to the Honda Connect Navi infotainment system, along with a 15.6-inch ceiling-mounted multimedia screen in the rear.
Practicality has always been a key selling point for the Honda Step WGN, and this latest model is no exception. It features seven seats with flexible seating arrangements. The second row can be moved to the side and slid fully forward and backward, allowing the driver to easily keep an eye on their children. Comfortable Ottoman-style seats are also fitted to higher trims, while a sliding door switch on the B-pillar has been added for easier opening and closing. Meanwhile, the third row seats have been positioned further forward, and the second row has lower backrests and headrests so that passengers in the back can also easily see ahead. Powering the StepWGN Spada e:HEV is an e:HEV (i-MMD) hybrid powertrain combining a 2.0L gasoline engine with two electric motors, delivering a total output of 184 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque.
The main motor drives directly through an e-CVT transmission, while the other motor acts as a generator, coupled with a 7.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and front-wheel drive. Introducing the StepWGN Spada e:HEV to the Indonesian market is not only a strategic move by Honda to expand its hybrid product range in Southeast Asia, but also reflects its ambition to globalize the fuel-efficient, environmentally friendly MPV segment amidst the growing demand for greener vehicles.
