Comrade Ngo Xuan Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Vice Chairman of the Appraisal Council chaired the meeting.

Attending the meeting were members of the Appraisal Council; representatives of the leaders of the Economic Department of Muong Te commune; the investor, the design consultant and the consultant preparing the environmental impact assessment report of the Project; environmental monitoring specialists of the Provincial People's Committee Office...

At the meeting, the representative of the Project investor gave an overview of the Project of exploiting stone for common construction materials at Doc Voi quarry. Accordingly, the Project of exploiting stone for common construction materials at Doc Voi quarry is implemented in Muong Te commune; the total land use area of ​​the Project is 2.54 ha; the exploitation capacity is 40,000 m ³ / year of monolithic stone; the finished stone product after processing is 58,800 m ³ / year of loose expanded raw stone.

The project, once operational, will contribute to stabilizing the market prices of construction materials in the province, providing raw materials for the construction of local construction, transportation, and technical infrastructure projects. At the same time, it will create jobs and income for local people, promoting local economic growth.

Discussing at the meeting, delegates said that the Project is consistent with national environmental protection planning, regional planning, provincial planning, and legal regulations on environmental protection. At the same time, they requested the Project investor to review and supplement the legal basis of the Project to suit actual conditions; supplement the assessment of the Project frequency; projects and industrial facilities in the commune where the Project is implemented; review and edit to unify and accurately technical parameters of a number of environmental protection works...

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Ngo Xuan Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Vice Chairman of the Appraisal Council requested the Project investor, design consultant and consultant to prepare the environmental impact assessment report of the Project to absorb the comments of the delegates participating in the meeting and review, edit and complete the environmental impact assessment report of the Project as soon as possible, ensuring appropriate solutions to overcome environmental impacts according to regulations. The Project investor has a plan to ensure labor safety during the implementation of the Project; pay attention to supporting the locality in social security issues; strictly comply with environmental laws during the construction and operation of the Project...

At the end of the meeting, the members of the Appraisal Council voted unanimously to approve the Project of exploiting stone for common construction materials at Doc Voi quarry after being revised and supplemented according to the comments of the Appraisal Council members.
