Merging 3 Vietnamese Cai Luong, Cheo and Tuong Theaters

The Prime Minister has just issued a decision to promulgate a list of public service units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST).

The Prime Minister has just issued Decision No. 1270/QD-TTg dated June 24 promulgating the list of public service units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST).

Accordingly, public service units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism were reorganized. Co Loa Studio and the Cinema Technical Center merged into the Vietnam Cinema, Sports and Tourism Center. This center was renamed the Vietnam Cinema, Culture, Sports and Tourism Center, to be completed before August 1.

Vietnam Opera House, Vietnam Cheo Theatre, Vietnam Tuong Theatre merged.

The decision also stated the content of merging the Vietnam Reformed Theater, Vietnam Cheo Theater, and Vietnam Tuong Theater into the Vietnam National Traditional Theater.

The Viet Bac Folk Music, Dance and Singing Theatre merged into the Vietnam Music, Dance and Singing Theatre and changed its name to the Vietnam National Music, Dance and Singing Theatre.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has 50 affiliated public service units. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism is responsible for reviewing and implementing the arrangement of affiliated public service units to ensure organizational streamlining, promote financial autonomy, and improve operational effectiveness and efficiency according to the public service unit arrangement plan approved by competent authorities and current regulations.
