Specifically, on May 15th, the highest electricity consumption peaked at 1,900MW (at 9:30 PM). However, yesterday, May 25th, it surpassed that peak at 1,996.4MW (at 1:30 PM); and today, May 26th, electricity consumption in the province reached a new high of 2,075.8MW (at 1:25 PM).
According to Hung Yen Power Company, with the hot weather showing no signs of abating, it is predicted that electricity consumption in the area will likely reach a new peak tonight.

According to the Hung Yen Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Center, the temperature at 1 PM today at both the Hung Yen and Thai Binh meteorological stations was 38 degrees Celsius; humidity was low, generally ranging from 45-59%. However, in reality, outdoors, especially on asphalt or concrete surfaces, the temperature is certainly higher than 40 degrees Celsius.
Forecasts for May 27th indicate continued intense and exceptionally intense heat across the province, with maximum temperatures generally ranging from 38-40 degrees Celsius. Areas predicted to experience high temperatures include the northern communes and wards of the province such as Van Giang, Nhu Quynh, My Hao, Khoai Chau, An Thi, and Quynh Phu.

In light of this situation, Hung Yen Power Company continues to advise customers to use electricity rationally and economically. During the hot weather, power company employees regularly travel by motorbike to residential areas to distribute leaflets and promote electricity saving; at the same time, they have specific plans to prevent electrical equipment short circuits and fires.
