Traffic lane separation instructions at Rach Mieu 2 Bridge

On August 19, 2025, the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project connecting Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces was officially inaugurated and opened to traffic. My Thuan Project Management Board guides traffic lane division at the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project.

Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Project has a total route length of about 17.5km, of which Rach Mieu 2 Bridge over the main channel of Tien River has a clearance width of BxH = 110x37.5m and 220x30m) with a width meeting the scale of 4 lanes of motor vehicles, the main span is expected to be a cable-stayed bridge structure; My Tho River Bridge (clearance width of BxH = 50x7m), with a width meeting the scale of 4 lanes of motor vehicles, the main span is expected to be a continuous girder structure.

Rach Mieu 2 Bridge from Dong Thap province to Vinh Long .

Direction from Dong Thap to Vinh Long (formerly Tien Giang to Ben Tre)

From the starting point of Dong Tam - National Highway 1A intersection, vehicles moving towards Vinh Long: all types of motor vehicles and non-motorized vehicles are allowed to circulate in specific lanes according to traffic signs: (2 motor vehicle lanes + 1 non-motorized vehicle lane) x 2 directions to the intersection of Lo Ngang Street (at Km7+800), after this position, only motor vehicles are allowed to continue to circulate to cross Rach Mieu Bridge, so non-motorized vehicles must turn onto Lo Ngang Street or turn back at this Lo Ngang intersection.

From the intersection of Lo Ngang Street to the end of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge: traffic is organized with 4 lanes of motor vehicles allowed to cross the bridge; non-motorized vehicles and specialized vehicles are not allowed to cross the bridge; on Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, motorbikes run in mixed lanes with cars (in the right lane).

From the end of Rach Mieu 2 bridge to Thoi Son islet intersection to the beginning of My Tho bridge, traffic is organized with a scale of 4 lanes of motor vehicles, accordingly, motor vehicles continue to go through My Tho bridge or go down the up/down branch to enter Thoi Son islet (Huong Lo 94C); rudimentary vehicles of people on Thoi Son islet are only allowed to circulate within the branch, to access/enter existing residential areas.

From the beginning of My Tho bridge to the end of My Tho bridge, traffic is organized with a scale of 4 lanes for motor vehicles. On My Tho bridge, motorbikes run mixed with cars (in the right lane); primitive vehicles are not allowed to cross the bridge.

From the end of My Tho bridge to the QL60 intersection, traffic is organized with a scale of 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicles, accordingly all types of vehicles are allowed to circulate on the road; except for specialized vehicles.

Direction from Vinh Long to Dong Thap (formerly Ben Tre to Tien Giang)

From the QL60 intersection, vehicles moving towards Dong Thap to the My Tho bridgehead are organized with 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicles, according to which all types of vehicles are allowed to circulate on the road; except for specialized vehicles.

From the end of My Tho bridge to Thon Son islet intersection to the beginning of Rach Mieu 2 bridge, traffic is organized with a scale of 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for non-motor vehicles, accordingly, motor vehicles continue to go through Rach Mieu 2 bridge or go down the up/down branch to enter Thoi Son islet (Huong Lo 94C); non-motor vehicles of people on Thoi Son islet are only allowed to circulate within the branch, to access/enter existing residential areas;

From Rach Mieu 2 bridge to Lo Ngang road (Km4+800), traffic is organized with 4 lanes of motor vehicles allowed to cross the bridge; rudimentary vehicles and specialized vehicles are not allowed to cross the bridge; on Rach Mieu 2 bridge, motorbikes run in mixed lanes with cars (right lane).

From Lo Ngang Road (Km4+800) to Dong Tam Intersection - National Highway 1A, traffic is organized with a scale of 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles, accordingly all types of vehicles are allowed to circulate on the road; except for specialized vehicles.
