Since the implementation of Project 6, 13 communes in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province have been invested in a new Radio Station system with modern equipment. Each commune is equipped with loudspeakers, high-tech transmitters, synchronized and applying information and communication technology, with a total cost of more than 5 billion VND. This not only helps improve the quality of information and communication but also contributes to promoting local socio -economic development.
The new Radio System helps people access broadcast programs to propagate policies and guidelines of the Party and State, and at the same time provides important information on social life, production development, and national security and defense. Thanks to that, the Commune Radio System becomes a useful tool in improving people's knowledge, stabilizing politics and security, creating a foundation for sustainable development in difficult areas, especially in mountainous communes and ethnic minority areas.
However, many communes in Quang Tri province still face difficulties in maintaining and operating the Radio Station system. Many Radio Station systems in localities are not synchronized, equipment is degraded, and there is a lack of funding for repair and maintenance. In particular, current loudspeaker systems need to have an Internet connection via phone sim to operate, but the budget allocated to communes is very limited, not enough to meet maintenance requirements.
Localities, especially Dakrong district, have sent petitions to higher levels, requesting financial support to maintain the operation of commune-level radio stations, as well as support for localities in maintaining Internet connections for loudspeaker systems. This is extremely necessary to ensure that the radio system can operate continuously, provide official information to the people and serve propaganda work in the community.
