Aiming for people's satisfaction

Since the first months of 2024, the Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province and its member organizations have continued to carry out emulation movements associated with the province's socio -economic development tasks, actively implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", mobilizing people to participate in building new rural areas. For example, the Fatherland Front Committee of Tuan Giao district mobilized people to donate 8,737m2 of land, 460 working days to build rural roads, drainage systems, and cultural houses. The Fatherland Front Committees at all levels of Dien Bien Dong district have promoted and mobilized people to build 30 village incinerators, launched many environmental landscape cleaning campaigns, collected waste, and dredged sewers in Luan Gioi and Chieng So communes with more than 2,380 participants.

The Fatherland Front of Dien Bien province also appraised the dossiers for recognition of Quai To commune (Tuan Giao district), Pa Khoang commune (Dien Bien city) meeting the new rural standards in 2023; appraised the dossiers for recognition of Noong Het, Pom Lot, Thanh Xuong communes (Dien Bien district) meeting the advanced new rural standards in 2024; organized to collect opinions to assess people's satisfaction with the results of new rural construction.

In Dien Bien district, in the construction of new rural areas, the district Fatherland Front has coordinated with local authorities to collect opinions on people's satisfaction before considering recognition of standards. To ensure that the collection of opinions is objective and substantive, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have established working groups, organized conferences to unify policies, methods of implementation and assigned specific tasks to each member, while strengthening coordination in inspection, supervision, guidance as well as handling difficulties in the implementation process in communes and households. When distributing questionnaires to collect opinions on people's satisfaction, the number of ballots issued must reach 80% of the total number of households in the commune.

Mr. Dao Duc Dong, a resident of Hop Thanh village (Noong Het commune, Dien Bien district) said that during the process of building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas, the Fatherland Front Committee of the district and commune organized to collect opinions to assess people's satisfaction. The collection of opinions was conducted openly and democratically, and people were very satisfied with the criteria that the commune and village had achieved.

According to the assessment of the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province, in the first 6 months of 2024, the activities of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations in the province have ensured implementation according to plan, focused on deploying and organizing the implementation of tasks, achieving many positive results, typically effectively implementing the contents of the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

In the coming time, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Dien Bien province will continue to promote and replicate self-management models in residential areas, paying special attention to effectively implementing two new contents including the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the program to build residential areas "Solidarity, consensus, security, safety, prosperity, happiness".

Recently, speaking at the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Dien Bien province, term 2024-2029, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Hoang Cong Thuy also said that the Fatherland Front at all levels in Dien Bien province needs to pay special attention, spend a lot of time, enthusiasm and creativity in implementing the programs. The above content needs to be identified as a breakthrough and highlight to affirm the substantial contribution of the Front in the coming term.

“With a special area like Dien Bien province, the Front needs to coordinate with the Public Security and Border Guard forces to effectively implement the movements “All people protect national security in the new situation”; “All people participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security”, coordinate to well organize the “National Great Unity Day”; “All people protect national security day”; “All people border guard day”, deploy self-management models, twinning activities, build a peaceful and friendly border, taking the strength of the people as a solid foundation to protect the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland” - Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy emphasized.
