On the afternoon of June 5th, at the People's Committee of Nguyen Uy commune, Kim Bang District Youth Union organized the opening ceremony of the 2023 summer program, in response to the 2023 Action Month for Children and providing training on drowning prevention skills for young people.
In their opening remarks at the 2023 summer activities, the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Young Pioneers Organization of Kim Bang district affirmed that caring for, protecting, and educating children is the responsibility of all levels, sectors, and society as a whole. Leveraging their roles, the Youth Union and Young Pioneers Organization at all levels have consistently focused on implementing numerous activities with diverse and practical content and forms, creating beneficial and healthy playgrounds for children during the summer.
To ensure children have a joyful and meaningful summer, youth union and children's organization branches in Kim Bang district need to develop specific summer activity plans with the theme "Joining hands to minimize harm to children"; effectively carry out social mobilization, encourage organizations and individuals to care for disadvantaged children, and organize recreational activities for children.
Strengthen the dissemination of knowledge and skills to children regarding accident and injury prevention, traffic safety, and drowning prevention. Organize training and skill development for team leaders, team commanders, and core teams and groups; proactively connect with youth and student volunteer groups to support summer activities in the locality.
At the event, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union - Kim Bang District Young Pioneers Team presented several gifts to disadvantaged children and students in Nguyen Uy commune.
Within the framework of the program, children in Nguyen Uy commune were guided on knowledge and skills to prevent drowning, provide first aid to drowning victims, etc., contributing to improving their knowledge to protect themselves and reduce accidents and deaths due to drowning.
