In order to proactively prevent drowning accidents, 747/747 Primary and Secondary School Unions in the province have simultaneously organized propaganda activities on drowning prevention, attracting a large number of team members and children to participate.

Binh Thuan ward Youth Union organizes propaganda on drowning prevention for team members and children.

Tuyen Quang is a province with a dense system of rivers, streams, ponds and lakes, leading to many drowning risks for children. Faced with this situation, the Provincial Youth Union - Provincial Council of Young Pioneers has directed the teams to coordinate with the Youth Union, schools and local authorities to widely deploy communication campaigns on drowning prevention. The campaign was organized synchronously, 100% of team members and children were equipped with basic knowledge and water safety skills.

The propaganda activities were implemented flexibly and creatively, suitable to the characteristics of each locality. The focus was on specialized training sessions on safe swimming skills and emergency handling. The teams organized for team members to practice skills in recognizing dangerous water areas such as unfenced ponds and lakes, rivers and streams with strong currents. The children also learned escape skills, how to use simple rescue tools such as empty plastic bottles and plastic cans to float and wait for rescue.

In particular, children are also instructed in first aid skills for victims on the spot, how to call for help and basic steps to save people while ensuring their own safety. Through visual propaganda sessions and video presentations, children's awareness of proactive accident prevention has been raised.

These are not just simple propaganda sessions but also a practice environment to help team members and children form a proactive awareness to protect themselves and those around them. Thanks to the synchronous and drastic participation, the propaganda campaign on drowning prevention has significantly raised parents' awareness in managing their children, contributing to minimizing the number of tragic drowning accidents in the province.
