Tan Hong District won the 2024 Dong Thap Province U13 Football Championship

DTO - On the morning of April 3, at My Tan football field (My Tan commune, Cao Lanh city), the final match and closing ceremony of the 2024 Dong Thap Province U13 Football Tournament took place.

Representatives of Dong Thap Football Federation, Departmentof Education and Training, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Cao Lanh City People's Committee and sponsors attended.

Surpassing their opponents, the U13 teams of Tan Hong district and Hong Ngu city excelled in the championship match. With a fairly even force, the players of both teams contributed to an exciting and dramatic final match. The U13 team of Tan Hong district took advantage of their opportunities better, leading 2-0, then 3-1. During most of the second half, the U13 players of Hong Ngu city tried to attack and scored a goal to shorten the score to 2-3. However, in the remaining time, the U13 team of Tan Hong district played solidly to preserve the score, thereby winning 3-2 overall, becoming the champion of the tournament.

At the end of the final match, the Organizing Committee held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes to the teams and individuals with outstanding achievements. The collective prizes awarded included: Champion (U13 Tan Hong District), Second Place (U13 Hong Ngu City), Third Place (U13 Cao Lanh District, U13 Cao Lanh City), Style (U13 Tan Hong District). In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded individual prizes such as Player with the most goals (Nguyen Van Di and Le Duc Vinh - U13 Tan Hong District), Best Goalkeeper (Nguyen Gia Thinh - U13 Hong Ngu City).

The 2024 Dong Thap Province U13 Football Tournament was organized by the Dong Thap Football Federation in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the People's Committee of Cao Lanh City from March 30 to April 3 with the participation of 8 U13 teams from districts and cities in the province. The tournament is a useful playground for young athletes, especially primary and secondary school students, thereby contributing to the development of the football movement in schools. At the same time, talented athletes are selected to supplement the Dong Thap Province U13 football team.
