The mid-life upgraded Hyundai Elantra 2025 was officially launched in its home market of Korea in March 2023. After more than 2 years, this C-class sedan has just arrived in Southeast Asia, specifically the Philippines. After a long absence, Hyundai Elantra returns to the Philippine market with 5 versions, including GL STD, GL, HEV GLS, HEV Premium and 1.6TN Line. The selling price of this model ranges from 1,065,000 - 1,795,800 Pesos (about 498 - 840 million VND).
Hyundai has been absent from the C-segment sedan segment in the Philippine market for a long time, leaving all potential market share to the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Altis. Although there is an Elantra N, this model belongs to a completely different segment and is not counted. Moving to the new version, Hyundai Elantra applies the company's signature "Parametric Jewel" design language with angular lines from front to back. In particular, the front of the car is renewed with a narrower grille, accompanied by geometric mesh, and slimmer LED headlights, integrated with a longer LED daytime running light strip than before. In addition, the car also has a new front bumper with a large central air intake and vertical air vents at both corners, along with fog lights. The side area of this C-class sedan is almost unchanged, except for the wheel rims and decorative details behind the C-pillar. The rear of the car has a new rear bumper and diffuser. In the Philippine market, the 2025 Hyundai Elantra comes standard with 15-inch alloy wheels, a digital instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch display, an 8-inch central touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, and black fabric seats.
The GL version is upgraded with 16-inch wheels, LED daytime running lights, a 4-way adjustable steering wheel and a 6-speaker sound system. Meanwhile, the HEV GLS version is added with front fog lights, LED taillights, push-button start, electronic handbrake, 10.25-inch digital dashboard and black leather seats. The HEV Premium version comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless phone charger, and an electric driver's seat. The top-of-the-line N Line version features a sporty bodykit, 18-inch N wheels, projector LED headlights, sport seats, red accents, and heated front seats. Notably, the 2025 Hyundai Elantra also has 3 engine options. The first is the Smartstream G MPI 1.6L gasoline engine, with a maximum capacity of 128 horsepower and maximum torque of 155 Nm for the 2 GL versions. The engine goes with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the HEV GLS and Premium versions use a hybrid powertrain, including a 1.6L gasoline engine, combined with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery, for a total capacity of 141 horsepower and a maximum torque of 265 Nm. These two versions use a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The N Line version is equipped with a 1.6L Smartstream G turbocharged gasoline engine, producing a maximum capacity of 204 horsepower and a maximum torque of 265 Nm. The engine is accompanied by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In addition, the HEV Premium and N Line versions are also equipped with the Hyundai Smartsense active safety feature package, including forward collision avoidance assist system, adaptive cruise control system with stop and restart function, lane keeping assist system, lane keeping assist,... After the Philippines, the upgraded Hyundai Elantra may continue to launch in other Southeast Asian markets, including Vietnam. Currently, this C-class sedan has not had very high sales in Vietnam, with only 231 units in the first 4 months of 2025. The new version may be a boost, boosting sales for this model.
