ICIA Global 2025, promoting ideas for sustainable development goals

NDO - On April 27, the closing ceremony of the International Innovation and Creativity Award - ICIA Global 2025 took place in Ho Chi Minh City.

The award, organized by Krya Global (Indonesia) in collaboration with the School of Technology and Design, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) and the National Startup Support Center (NSSC), gathered about 400 delegates, including more than 270 students, 93 teachers and 30 startups from 20 countries.

This year's event, themed "Empowering Youth Innovation for a Sustainable Future", focuses on promoting innovative thinking, entrepreneurship and creative solutions to address global challenges.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Professor, Dr. Su Dinh Thanh, Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, affirmed that during the 3 days (from April 25 to 27) of the event, ICIA Global 2025 turned the UEH campus into a vibrant learning ecosystem.

“Through competitions, exhibitions, seminars and training sessions, we have witnessed the brilliance of hundreds of students, teachers and startups. Each individual contributed ideas that were aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,” said Professor, Dr. Su Dinh Thanh.

At the same time, he said that this is not just a competition, but also the spirit of World Creativity and Innovation Day, connecting young minds and the global community through education , technology, psychology, welfare and entrepreneurship for sustainable development goals.

Closing 3 days of exciting competition, ICIA Global 2025 brought students from many countries, especially young contestants from 9 to 18 years old, a meaningful international experience.

They confidently tried their hand at solving major social problems, moving towards global sustainable development goals.

In particular, the fact that ICIA Global was held in Vietnam for the first time, right on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, created a special milestone, leaving deep memories for all attendees.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee also honored and awarded prizes to the student teams and startups with the best achievements.

Specifically, the Innovation Award honors student projects that are highly applicable and creative, with practical solutions to address global sustainable development issues.

The Innovation Challenge Award recognizes outstanding initiatives that are capable of practical implementation and bring positive impacts, responding to real-world problems posed within the program framework.

Startup Exchange Recognition is for outstanding startups that demonstrate innovation in business models and the ability to strongly inspire the startup community.
