On the afternoon of October 17, at the National Assembly House, Party Central Committee member and Permanent Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh chaired a press conference to inform about the expected program and content of the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Attending and co-chairing the press conference were: Vice Chairman of the Committee on Law and Justice Nguyen Manh Cuong; Vice Chairman of the Committee on Delegation Affairs Ta Thi Yen; members who are full-time National Assembly deputies working at the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, the Committee on Economy and Finance, the Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs of the National Assembly...

Reporting on the expected program and content of the Session, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Van Hien stated that the Session will hold a preparatory session, opening on the morning of October 20 and is expected to close on December 11, 2025 at the National Assembly House, Hanoi .

The working time of the Session is expected to be 40 days. This is a session with many important contents. The National Assembly has just carried out the contents of the regular session; at the same time, summarized the term of the 15th term.

According to Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Hien, preparations for the 10th Session were carried out very carefully. The National Assembly Standing Committee spent a lot of time giving opinions on the contents of the Session, and organized a conference of full-time National Assembly deputies to discuss the contents submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval.

The Office of the National Assembly strengthens its direction, proactively coordinates with relevant agencies, actively deploys, reviews, and improves to further improve the quality of service for the Session.

At this session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 66 contents and groups of contents, including 49 draft laws and 4 resolutions on legislative work. "This is the session with the largest number of legislative contents since the beginning of the 15th National Assembly's term," said the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office.

Regarding the consideration and decision on important national issues, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 13 groups of contents on socio-economics, state budget, supervision and other important issues. Accordingly, it will consider and decide on socio-economic issues, state budget; consider and approve the National Assembly's Resolution on the results of thematic supervision "Implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 took effect".

The National Assembly will also review and discuss the summary report on the implementation by members of the Government, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the State Auditor General of the Resolutions of the 14th and 15th National Assembly terms on thematic supervision and questioning; and discuss the draft Report on the work of the 15th National Assembly term.

At the same time, review the work reports for the 2021-2026 term of: the President, the Government, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Nationality Council, the National Assembly Committees, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the State Audit. Review and approve the Resolution on summarizing the work for the 2021-2026 term. In addition, the National Assembly will review and decide on many other important contents.

Affirming that this is a Session with a very large volume of work, Deputy Chairman Nguyen Van Hien requested that press agencies continue to focus on promoting improvements and innovations in the way the Session is conducted, contributing to the successful organization of the 10th Session.

Specifically, at this session, the time for presenting reports will be shortened; a number of reports will be presented in an integrated manner; the National Assembly will be arranged to listen to presentations, reports and discuss in groups and halls for a number of draft laws, resolutions and reports on the same field.

In addition, although no question and answer sessions are held, the National Assembly will also change the way it supervises the implementation of the National Assembly's resolutions on thematic supervision and questioning in the following form: The Government and agencies will send full reports; National Assembly deputies will send written questions for the questioned person to answer continuously from now until the 10th Session. And, at the Session, the National Assembly will synthesize the report and arrange for the National Assembly to meet in one session on this content.

Within the framework of the press conference, representatives of the leadership of the National Assembly Office, the National Assembly Committees, and the Ethnic Council answered and clarified a number of issues that reporters from press agencies were interested in regarding the proposed agenda of the Session.
