Cuu Long University received the Second Class Labor Medal

On the morning of October 18, Cuu Long University solemnly held a ceremony to receive the Second Class Labor Medal and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the school's founding (2000-2025). Attending the ceremony were former member of the Party Central Committee and former Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh.

Also attending the ceremony were Party Central Committee members: Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Van Ron; Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Bui Van Nghiem; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Huynh Thanh Dat... and former leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Regarding international delegates, there was Dr. Santisouk Simmalavong, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications of Laos... leaders of ministries, branches, corporations, institutes, companies from countries and territories such as: Japan, Cambodia, Korea; Taiwan, India; Germany...

At the ceremony, Meritorious Teacher, Associate Professor, Doctor Luong Minh Cu, Party Secretary, Principal of Cuu Long University gave a speech reviewing the 25-year tradition of construction and development of Cuu Long University (2000-2025).

With the spirit of determination, responsibility and innovation, the School has constantly strived, overcome all difficulties to rise up and achieve many outstanding achievements.

Currently, the school enrolls and trains 38 university majors, with over 90 multi-disciplinary majors. The school's staff and lecturers have over 1,200 teachers with academic titles and degrees, including over 70 professors, associate professors, 241 PhDs, 447 masters, nearly 300 doctors, level I and level II specialists...

The total training scale is more than 35,000 students, including nearly 1,500 postgraduate students. The school has awarded degrees to more than 38,000 bachelors, engineers and nearly 1,200 masters, many of whom are taking on important leadership roles, experts, entrepreneurs, and researchers at home and abroad...

In recognition of the School's contributions, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has decided to award the Second Class Labor Medal to Cuu Long University for its outstanding achievements in scientific research and human resource training, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports awarded the title of excellent development unit to the School for its contributions in training human resources for Laos from 2015 to present.

The People's Committee of Vinh Long province awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 10 individuals who have made positive contributions in applying science and technology, training and developing human resources, contributing to the socio-economic development of Vinh Long province.
