From the important directions of the Party Committee in the field of culture and arts, the Ho Chi Minh City government has concretized policies and resources for literature and arts in accordance with the development stages of the country and the City.

The City's cultural, literary and artistic activities have developed in the right direction, always pioneering in the integration and innovation process, continuing to promote the nation's fine traditional values.

Comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, presented the First Class Labor Medal of the President to the leadership of the City's Department of Culture and Sports .

Besides, the mass art movement in the city is increasingly developing; contributing to encouraging and motivating the masses to participate in creating, preserving, teaching and promoting cultural and artistic values.

State management in the field of literature and art has been increasingly strengthened, operating effectively and efficiently. The city focuses on creating favorable conditions in terms of regimes, policies, and care for artists; giving health insurance cards to artists who have won noble State awards and titles; supporting artists over 70 years old who are in difficult circumstances or sick; regularly visiting and caring for outstanding artists on holidays, Tet, when they are sick or pass away; and caring for lonely artists who have no one to rely on.

At the conference, comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee answered many questions from the artists. The City Party Secretary requested that the cultural sector needs to have a plan to preserve traditional art as a heritage, and at the same time try to have solutions to create appeal for these art forms to become more appealing and appealing to the public.

Comrade Tran Luu Quang hopes that units and artists need to innovate the form of promoting works in accordance with development trends to bring literary and artistic works closer and more conveniently to audiences and readers, especially today's young public.

At the conference, the City Department of Culture and Sports was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal awarded by the President. The Organizing Committee also commended and awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee to collectives and individuals who have made positive and important contributions to the development of literature and art in Ho Chi Minh City 50 years after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
