BTO-That is the announcement of Binh Thuan Provincial Social Insurance (BSI) sent to health insurance (HI) medical examination and treatment facilities in the province.
Accordingly, from June 1, 2023, the provincial Social Insurance will print and issue health insurance cards to participants according to the provisions of Decision No. 1666 of the General Director of Vietnam Social Insurance. Specifically, the new health insurance card uses the seal of Vietnam Social Insurance, prints the position, signature, and full name of the Head of the Collection - Book Management Board, and Vietnam Social Insurance Card. The old health insurance card printed and issued by Binh Thuan Provincial Social Insurance to health insurance participants that is still valid will continue to be used for health insurance examination and treatment and will not be exchanged for the new card.
Social insurance agencies of districts and towns shall issue new, reissue, and exchange health insurance cards for health insurance participants according to the collection management hierarchy; reissue and exchange health insurance cards (without changing information) for health insurance participants nationwide; limit reissuance of health insurance cards for cases of renewal or reissuance due to loss or damage; prioritize printing and issuing health insurance cards for children under 6 years old, social security, and only reissue health insurance cards in cases of real necessity.
Every year, before the health insurance card expires, the collection and book and card department/section will continue to extend the validity of the health insurance card on the collection and book and card management software system but will not print the card. At the same time, the D10a-TS sample file will be sent to the email address registered with the Social Insurance agency to notify the collection service unit and organization. Participants continue to use the old health insurance card issued to go to the health insurance clinic and treatment center.
In addition, the Social Insurance agency guides health insurance participants to use the image of the health insurance card on the VssID application - Social Insurance number or the citizen identification card with chip for health insurance examination and treatment, not to issue a paper health insurance card (except in cases where participants do not use smartphones or do not have a citizen identification card with chip, then request the Social Insurance agency to issue a paper health insurance card) according to the instructions in Official Dispatch 1493 of Vietnam Social Insurance.
