On the same day, China and Indonesia signed two strategic memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in the mineral sector. The signing ceremony took place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and was witnessed by the two leaders, marking a new chapter in the strategic cooperation between Indonesia and China.

According to Indonesian Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, this cooperation not only strengthens the sustainable mineral supply chain but also encourages significant investment in clean energy development in both countries. This reflects the seriousness of both countries in realizing the global commitment to accelerate the sustainable energy transition.

The Memorandum of Understanding on Green Minerals Cooperation signed between the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce aims to promote the development of the green minerals industry, starting from the mining level to downstream in Indonesia. This is in line with the common commitment of both countries to combat climate change.

Meanwhile, the Memorandum of Understanding on Mineral Resources signed between Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) will focus on the development and utilization of minerals needed in modern industry.

This partnership is expected to boost investment and strengthen a safe and sustainable mineral resource supply chain.
