Thanh Hoa receives specialized training for 29 international students from Houaphan province

On October 20, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued Decision No. 3315/QD-UBND on transferring specialized training to 29 international students from Houaphan province (Lao PDR) according to the Cooperation Agreement between Thanh Hoa province and Houaphan province for the period 2021-2025.

According to the Decision, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province assigned Hong Duc University, Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Thanh Hoa Medical College to receive specialized training for 29 international students from Houaphan province, Lao PDR for 2 subjects receiving Vietnamese language study (under the scholarship under the Cooperation Agreement between Thanh Hoa province and Houaphan province for the period 2021-2025).

Specifically, Hong Duc University: 16 international students, including: University training: 08 international students; College-to-university training: 02 international students; Master's training: 06 international students. Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism: 08 international students, including: University training: 04 international students; College-to-university training: 03 international students; Master's training: 01 international student. Thanh Hoa Medical College: 05 international students training at college level.

Over the past years, universities and colleges in Thanh Hoa province have received and trained thousands of students from Lao provinces, contributing to supplementing high-quality human resources for Laos. They are the bridge connecting and fostering the increasingly close and strong solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

Currently, Thanh Hoa has more than 400 Laotian students living and studying. There is no longer a language or cultural gap here. Laotian students have really adapted to the environment here thanks to the enthusiastic help and sharing from Vietnamese teachers and students.

During their time studying in Thanh Hoa, Lao students are cared for by educational institutions, creating the best material and spiritual conditions to ensure convenience in eating, living, studying and living. Schools also create favorable conditions for students to participate in cultural - artistic, physical education - sports activities; organize extracurricular activities to learn more about the history, people and culture of Vietnam.
