Infrastructure has not met the development needs, and public investment disbursement is still slow.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Deputy Prime Minister asked Dong Thap province to focus on implementing the conclusions of the Politburo and the resolutions of the Government resolutely and effectively. The province needs to have a new scenario to achieve the growth target of 8% or more, assigning tasks to the construction sector and making it feasible.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province needs to assign Vice Chairmen to lead and direct the disbursement of public investment capital, have a critical path to project progress, and work "3 shifts and 4 shifts". The province also needs to attract investors, strengthen investment and trade promotion, diversify products, supply sources, and markets in the consumption of agricultural products.
The Deputy Prime Minister also reminded the province to strengthen inspection, grasp the natural disaster situation, take timely response measures, and protect people's lives and property. Continue to improve the commune-level civil servants, ensure sufficient quantity, correct capacity, and effective operation. The Deputy Prime Minister assigned ministries and branches to advise and help the province implement Dong Thap's recommendations.
