Intel promises leap forward for gaming laptops with new AI chip
The Core Ultra 200H chip line, with the Core Ultra 9 285H as its representative, has 16 cores (including 6 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores and 2 power-saving cores) and reaches a maximum clock speed of up to 5.4 GHz. In particular, this chip also integrates 8 Intel Arc GPU cores.

Meanwhile, the Core Ultra 200HX chip line is aimed at higher performance, serving the needs of gaming and heavy processing tasks. The highest-end Core Ultra 9 285HX version has up to 24 cores (8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores) and a maximum clock speed of 5.5 GHz. Although it only has 4 Intel GPU cores, this chip line is designed to work with discrete graphics cards from NVIDIA or AMD, providing the ultimate gaming experience on laptops.

Intel says devices using the Core Ultra 200H and 200HX chips will be available in the first quarter of 2025. That's also when desktop models using the Core Ultra 200S chip will hit the market.
The launch of this new chip line is considered Intel's 'counterattack' against competitors such as AMD, while affirming the company's leading position in the field of chip processing technology.
