Apple may launch new colors for iPhone 16

In the past, Apple has repeatedly added new colors to iPhone lines after launch, usually around March or April, as a way to refresh the product and attract users.

Specifically, the company has done this a total of 6 times. First was the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus with the (PRODUCT)RED version launched on March 21, 2017. Next, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus also had a (PRODUCT)RED version introduced on April 9, 2018. In 2021, the iPhone 12 and 12 mini added a purple color option on April 20. In 2022, the iPhone 13 and 13 mini added a green color, while the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max appeared in Alpine Green, both launched on March 8. Most recently, on March 7, 2023, Apple introduced the gold color for the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus.

With this trend, many people expect Apple to continue adding a new color to the iPhone 16 in 2025.

There have been no leaks regarding new color options for the iPhone 16 series, which has led many to question whether Apple will continue to add a new color version. In fact, Apple has skipped introducing new colors for some iPhone lines, such as the iPhone XR in 2019, the iPhone 11 in 2020, and the iPhone 15 in 2024. This shows that the company does not implement this strategy every year.

However, since 2017, Apple has tended to add new color options more often than not, with a total of six mid-cycle color updates. If true, this will be one of Apple's notable products in the first half of 2025.
