Apple is expected to hold an event to launch the iPhone 17 series on September 9. An international technology blogger recently shared an image that is said to be an invitation to introduce Apple's "Fall Conference 2025".
According to the photo, the event has the theme "Futurebound", with a copper-orange Apple logo, matching the expected color scheme of the iPhone 17 Pro. This is also the first model to use the large horizontal matrix camera cluster design that Apple is likely to maintain for the next 5 years.
However, shortly after posting, the blogger's social media account was locked. The authenticity of the image remains unclear, but many believe that the reliability of the leaked information is over 50%.
What is more interesting is that before the product was launched, a copy of the iPhone 17 Pro appeared on the market. The appearance of this fake model is quite similar to the real one. On the front, the bottom bezel is thick, the screen is low quality and the display angle is quite dark. The device runs Android but has iOS 26 wallpaper installed to fool users.
Even the product box is made in Apple style. However, many details are not accurate when the logo is placed in the wrong position, the glass design in the camera module is not reproduced, showing a low level of completion.
Not only the copycat phone makers, some genuine brands are also being criticized for copying the iPhone maker's design. Realme recently announced the Realme P4 series in India, with a large horizontal camera cluster and lens arrangement quite similar to the iPhone 17 Pro in leaked renders. The most noticeable difference is that the Realme P4 does not have a LiDAR sensor.
Xu Qi, Vice President of Realme China, said that the company had previously applied the large Deco matrix design on the Neo5 SE, so it is not surprising to reuse this design language. However, the fact that the layout details match the iPhone 17 Pro has caused a heated discussion in the technology community.
With Apple yet to officially announce the iPhone 17 Pro, the emergence of copies and counterfeit products shows the strong appeal of the new smartphone line. At the same time, it also reflects the fierce competition in the current smartphone industry.
