According to the New York Post, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed on July 21 that the country's nuclear facilities were severely damaged in a US missile attack last month.
"Our nuclear facility has been severely damaged. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed," Iran's foreign minister told Fox News ' "Special Report" host.

“The facilities have been destroyed,” he acknowledged, noting that Iran has not been able to refine nuclear fuel since US President Donald Trump ordered military strikes on three of the country’s uranium enrichment sites on June 22.
However, Minister Araghchi insisted that the sites would be rebuilt and that enrichment of nuclear material would continue for " peaceful purposes".
"Currently, this activity must be suspended because the damage is very serious. However, we cannot give up our uranium enrichment activities because this is the achievement of our scientists," the Iranian foreign minister stressed.

According to Mr. Araghchi, Tehran will not agree to any nuclear deal with the Trump administration that includes a ban on domestic uranium enrichment.
"If the goal is to ensure that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, that is achievable. But if the goal is to deprive Iran of its rights, including the right to enrich uranium, that will be difficult. Uranium enrichment has been stopped now because our facilities were attacked, but any solution to Iran's nuclear program in the future must include allowing enrichment, because that is our right. We can never give it up," he continued.
