Israel intercepts Houthi missile, takes down Hezbollah UAV commander

The Israeli military said on September 27 that it had intercepted a missile fired from Yemen. Sirens and explosions were heard in central Israel early on September 27, according to Reuters.

The surface-to-surface missile was intercepted by the Arrow missile defense system outside Israeli territory. The Israeli military stressed that its defense guidelines have not changed.

Mr. Srur, born in 1973, studied mathematics and was a senior advisor sent by Hezbollah to Yemen to train the Houthis, according to AFP. This is the fourth attack in the past week targeting Hezbollah commanders in a densely populated area.

Lebanese media reported that three rockets were fired at an apartment in a 10-story building. The Lebanese Health Ministry said two people were killed and 15 injured in the airstrike.
