Editor's note: When artists achieve success, in addition to their own efforts, they often say that they are "treated by the ancestors" and "fed by the ancestors". In the art world, there are families that have achieved much glory thanks to their diligence and passion for their profession. There are families that have been loved and blessed by the ancestors for three or four generations. VietNamNet would like to introduce a series of such families.

Soobin Hoang Son is a name that is being noticed and loved by the audience because of his diverse talents. Although following the modern music genre, traditional national qualities are still imbued in the sounds that Soobin makes. Few people know that he was born into a family where his grandparents and father are both famous artists.

The first of the three-generation family to be blessed by the profession was Meritorious Artist Le Thi Hao Yen (Meritorious Artist Hao Yen) - a famous and talented cai luong artist at the Thanh Hoa cai luong troupe.

At that time, almost everyone knew the name Hao Yen. Every night she performed, the theater was packed with audiences, everyone competed to come see her. And it was from here that the artistic blood began to permeate the family, laying the foundation for the next generation.

People's Artist Nguyen Huynh Tu - son of Meritorious Artist Hao Yen is the pride of the family. He is a famous Dan Bau artist in the North. Since he was 3 years old, still having a lisp, thanks to his mother's guidance, he participated in Cai Luong plays such as Pham Cong - Cuc Hoa. After that, he pursued a professional artistic journey by taking the entrance exam to the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (now the Vietnam National Academy of Music), working as a lecturer there for 3 years and then joining the Thang Long Music and Dance Theater. He founded the Rain Forest music group, often traveling abroad to perform instrumental music (chamber music), ensembles, solos...

People's Artist Huynh Tu was once the music director of the Sao Mai and Hanoi Voice competitions. He also composed music for stages, film soundtracks, festivals...

Like his father, Soobin Hoang Son was also immersed in music since he was 3 years old. When he was 5 years old, his father took him to Russia, China, Korea... to perform on the monochord. Therefore, Soobin always had a love for traditional art and the audience had the opportunity to enjoy his sublime moments with the monochord in the performance Trong Com on the stage of Anh Trai Vuon Ngan Cong Gai .

People's Artist Huynh Tu admitted that Soobin is luckier than many people. As an artist, he has a wide knowledge of instrumental music and traditional instruments, so he can teach his son many things from a very young age.

"There was a very big mark during the time I played the monochord, which perhaps Soobin has never mentioned, that is, I won the Special Prize in the Monochord Music Talent Competition at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music. That was an award equivalent to the First Prize, but because I had never studied at the Conservatory, everyone decided to give me a separate prize, the rest was the Second Prize. At that time, I was only 12-13 years old," People's Artist Huynh Tu said.

It was at that competition that People's Artist Huynh Tu was surprised about his son when his right hand played the violin, his left hand held the neck, the two hands were almost one. Later, he wrote a piece called "Nostalgia in a Lullaby" , the music was extremely difficult, Soobin played the violin as if "running".

However, after winning the award with the monochord, Soobin decided to switch to piano, opening the path to modern music. People's Artist Huynh Tu said that since becoming famous, Soobin has had a high salary and has supported his parents a lot. Although his son did not choose to follow his father's path, his father has always given him words of encouragement in his career.

People's Artist Huynh Tu said he was satisfied because recently, Soobin has gradually become more understanding and has a broader mindset according to his definition of the music world. That is, his son has begun to think about tradition and wants to bring traditional cultural elements into modern music.

"The Vietnamese spirit is respected and echoed in many programs for young people. That is what I am most honored and proud of," he confided.

For his part, Soobin Hoang Son confided that being born into a family with an artistic tradition, he felt pressured to work not only to assert himself but also to not affect the honor and tradition of his family. Therefore, in every activity, Soobin had to consider carefully.

"Looking back on my journey, I am confident because I have worked seriously in the arts since I started my career. I do not follow the crowd, do not use scandals to promote my name or seek fame. I always believe that when I work seriously, responsibly and with a passion for my career, I will achieve the same things that my grandparents and father received," the male singer confided.

Recently, in his own live show in Hanoi, Soobin Hoang Son invited his father to perform with him. During the audience interaction, Soobin said that his father had stopped performing for many years to focus on backstage work, but when asked to appear in his son's first concert, he said: "You can do whatever you want me to do."

People's Artist Huynh Tu also tearfully said: "I have been waiting for this for more than 30 years, since Soobin was still in his mother's womb. Although I have performed all over the world, this is the first time I have stood on the same stage with my son."

For Soobin, this is an unforgettable memory, showing his continuation with his father on the path of preserving folk music.

Soobin Hoang Son's real name is Nguyen Huynh Son, born in 1992 in Hanoi. He is the owner of many hits such as Behind a Girl, Going to Return (Tien Cookie), Please Don't Be Silent (Shin Hong Vinh).
