Hue City supports flood victims in the North with 4 billion VND

On the afternoon of October 19, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City announced the results of a working trip to support some northern localities that were severely affected by floods after storm No. 11.

Accordingly, on October 18th and 19th, 2025, a delegation from the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van – Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City – visited, encouraged, and provided financial assistance to localities severely affected by natural disasters caused by the remnants of Typhoon No. 11.

The delegation expressed deep sympathy for the difficulties and losses suffered by the people of Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen provinces in particular, and the northern region in general, due to the impact of typhoon No. 11. The comrade emphasized that Hue city is always ready to join hands and contribute to helping people nationwide overcome natural disasters and stabilize their lives.

Upholding the tradition of solidarity and mutual support, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City has called upon and mobilized all sectors of the population, organizations, and individuals in the area to join hands in supporting people in the flood-stricken areas. In this spirit, the delegation directly provided 2 billion VND in support to the people of Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh provinces (1 billion VND each). At the same time, through the City's Relief Fund, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City also transferred 2 billion VND to Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces (1 billion VND each) to help overcome the consequences of the natural disaster and quickly stabilize their lives and production.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen provinces provided a brief update on the damage in their areas and expressed their sincere gratitude for the timely and practical support from the people of Hue city. The localities pledged to use the donated funds appropriately, for the right beneficiaries, in a transparent and effective manner.

During the working trip, the delegation also visited, encouraged and presented money and gifts to affected households in Phuc Hoa commune, Bac Ninh province; presented money and gifts to Lien Co City Kindergarten, Thai Nguyen province - a unit that suffered heavy damage due to floods to quickly overcome the damage, stabilize the facilities to help students go to school soon.

During the delegation's journey, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Hue City and the Hue City Women Entrepreneurs Association also shared gifts with the people in the severely affected areas of Van Lang commune, Na Ri commune, and Phan Dinh Phung ward in Thai Nguyen province.
