In 2019, when issuing the strategic plan for the period 2020 - 2025 and vision to 2035, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (IUH) built the core values of "Innovation - Solidarity - Humanity".
Many policies to support students
In order to support students during their studies at the school, IUH has developed and issued regulations on diverse scholarship policies, suitable for many subjects.
Every year, IUH builds a student support fund from revenue, from businesses, individuals, and units supporting the school to grant scholarships. This fund is divided into many different types of scholarships, such as: Study encouragement scholarships, for students with good academic performance; admission scholarships, for newly admitted students; incubation scholarships, for students studying at high schools that have signed cooperation agreements with IUH; study support scholarships, for students in difficult circumstances other than policy beneficiaries; and sponsored scholarships, for students at the request of the sponsor.
In the 2023-2024 school year, the fund spent about 60 billion VND to grant scholarships and rewards to students with good academic achievements or students with unexpected difficulties so that their studies are not interrupted.
By establishing and allocating this diverse support fund, IUH has contributed to furthering the dreams of university education for students in difficult circumstances; encouraging them to strive to study, practice, and conduct scientific research to develop high-quality human resources.
Not only that, for many consecutive years, IUH has also participated in supporting the program "Supporting students to school" launched by Tuoi Tre Newspaper. In 2024, the school awarded 20 scholarships worth 300 million VND, helping new students in difficult circumstances continue their studies. In addition, IUH also has a policy of free accommodation in dormitories, priority in introducing part-time jobs, as well as issuing policies to extend tuition fees for students in difficult circumstances.

Working together for the community
With the core value of "humanity" in its operations, IUH always joins hands to share and participate in community support activities.
In 2020, when the COVID-19 epidemic broke out, IUH mobilized all employees of the school to contribute 1 day's salary to join hands in fighting the epidemic. The school also supported 500 million VND to the COVID-19 Prevention Fund, and donated a monolithic PCP - Realtime testing machine worth about 1.1 billion VND to An Binh Hospital.
Last September, in response to the loss of life and property in many northern provinces and cities caused by storms and floods, IUH supported people in flood-affected areas with VND 3,756,130,355.
Over the years, IUH has contributed to the construction of many charity houses in Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City; as well as through its sister unit, Division 5, to help build and hand over military and civilian houses in Tay Ninh province.
IUH students have actively participated in community programs in major volunteer campaigns, such as: Green Summer, Volunteer Spring; walking to raise funds for the Poor...
With practical and effective programs and activities, IUH has gradually affirmed its position and brand, training citizens who not only have high professional qualifications but also have a sense of community service, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
The affirmation "In the 2024-2025 school year, I absolutely commit that no candidate will be admitted to the school but not study for financial reasons" by Dr. Phan Hong Hai - Party Secretary, Principal of IUH - is a guarantee of the school leader's dedication to education.
