"The Last Wife" is inspired by the novel "Ho Oan Han" by author Hong Thai. The film takes place in the 19th century in Vietnam. This is the work that marks Victor Vu's return to the historical genre after more than 10 years since "Thien Menh Anh Hung".

"When it comes to period dramas, people often think of historical or martial arts films. However, what I am most inspired by from this genre is the Vietnamese cultural element. This time, I want to tell a love and psychological story based on the context of ancient Vietnam but still close to today's viewers" - Victor Vu revealed.

The movie is scheduled to be released on November 3.
