Besides father Khac Trieu and mother Cam Van, many artists came to celebrate CeCe Truong's first EP release such as: musician Huy Tuan, singer Dam Vinh Hung, MC Hien Mai, MC Trac Thuy Mieu, singer Nguyen Hung...

At the event, CeCe Truong burst into tears when recalling the traumas she had endured. Famous singer Cam Van went on stage to encourage her daughter, but she could not hold back her tears.

Dam Vinh Hung - a close uncle who witnessed CeCe Truong's journey to adulthood - said he loved her but also reminded the female singer to change.

Dam Vinh Hung hugs CeCe Truong and gives her sincere advice.

"I was surprised that you endured so much. Why did you choose that way? No! From now on, you have to change. You are still young, you have the right to fail many times. Only I am not young enough to have that right. Every time we meet, you smile broadly, I don't know that you have so many worries inside," he said.

However, Dam Vinh Hung is happy that CeCe Truong has finally revealed her talent and clear personality. He believes that the psychological wounds help the female singer sing much better than before.

The EP "Straight Curves" includes 4 songs: Thoat, Di Di, Lua Tat and Khong La Nguoi Ha" marking the transformation of singer CeCe Truong from music to appearance.

The songs reflect different versions of her on her journey through pain and suffering to learn how to let go and find herself again.

Cam Van was emotional with her daughter.

She explains the title Straight Curves as a journey of growing up, turning chaos (curves) into order (straight lines), and thereby finding the light at the end of the road.

The product combines many genres and materials, from pop ballad - Thoat , electro pop - Di di, soul R&B - Lua tat to pop R&B - Khong la nguoi to express a series of complex emotions: when hurt, depressed, when anxious, lost.

In the EP, the girl resolutely left when love had reached its end. But after all, she felt empty, realizing that because of love, she lost herself.

CeCe Truong conveys a consistent message: Love can change, but from pain, people can still find strength and freedom.

Except for the last song No Longer Human , the first three songs were composed by CeCe Truong from personal experiences, not only about love and friendship but also issues of the journey to adulthood.

"There were days when I was so exhausted that I fainted. There were times when I thought I had no more energy to continue. I even had to seek medical help to overcome my psychological problems," she said about the reason for writing music.

CeCe Truong's effective partner is producer Duy Tran - a lecturer at the Musicians Institute, who graduated with a master's degree from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the music production team for the 2024 Grammy-nominated album Mythologies II .
