On the afternoon of November 18, at the City Convention Center, the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board in collaboration with the Southeast Asia Influence Alliance (SIA) organized the Workshop "Matching Your Future - Connecting high-tech talents from Taiwan (China) - Vietnam" in Hai Phong city.
Attending the workshop were representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors, and units; representatives of leaders of universities, colleges, and vocational training institutions inside and outside the city; leaders of companies doing business in industrial park infrastructure; high-tech enterprises of Taiwan (China) in Hai Phong and more than 300 students of universities and colleges majoring in electricity, electronics, and high technology in the city.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Bui Ngoc Hai, Deputy Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, emphasized that this event is not only a good opportunity to connect Taiwanese (Chinese) high-tech enterprises with high-quality human resources in Vietnam, but also demonstrates the important role of Hai Phong city in general and the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board in particular in the economic development trend, leading the way in key manufacturing sectors such as electronics, high technology, and semiconductor industry. The Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board is committed to accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for investors and enterprises to participate in activities in the city as well as focusing on caring for, connecting, and improving the quality of human resources in related sectors.

Leaders of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board presented gifts to the Founder of Southeast Asia Influence Alliance.
As of October 31, 2023, the city has a total of 904 foreign investment projects with a total investment capital of nearly 30 billion USD. Of which, industrial parks and economic zones have 511 projects with a total capital of 25.76 billion USD. In the first 10 months of 2023, Hai Phong is one of the leading localities in the country in attracting FDI with 3.1 billion USD (reaching 122% of the 2023 plan). In terms of investment industry structure, electronics enterprises have 131 projects with 12.7 billion USD (accounting for 34%); automobile and machinery manufacturing enterprises have 70 projects with 10.5 billion USD (accounting for 28%); logistics and infrastructure enterprises have 159 projects with 5.8 billion USD (accounting for 16%). Many multinational corporations and large enterprises with modern technology have invested in the city, including 126 enterprises operating in the fields of electronics, high technology, manufacturing industry and especially semiconductor and microchip industries, which are developing strongly and have great potential in the future.

The total number of employees in enterprises in the city's Industrial Parks and Economic Zones is currently 180,753 people with an average income of 10.5 million VND/person/month. Of which, over 70% of the number of employees in the Industrial Parks and Economic Zones are working in the electronics and high-tech industries; about 12% of employees have high technical qualifications, 18% of employees have medium professional qualifications. In the first 10 months of 2023, the number of enterprises recruiting workers reached 78% of the labor recruitment demand. The goal by 2025 is that Hai Phong will attract about 10 billion USD of FDI capital. According to preliminary calculations, 10,000 workers will be needed/1 billion USD of FDI capital attracted, of which 3,000 - 4,000 must be highly skilled workers. Therefore, the demand for high-quality human resources in Hai Phong in the coming time is very large.

The Southeast Asia Influence Alliance is a pioneer in promoting trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Taiwan (China); supporting Taiwanese (China) enterprises to expand their business activities in the Southeast Asia region, especially in the Vietnamese market. Recently, the Southeast Asia Influence Alliance has cooperated with the National Innovation Center (NIC) to promote the training of high-quality human resources in the semiconductor industry in Vietnam. The Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and the Southeast Asia Influence Alliance have had many previous working programs in Hai Phong city and Taiwan (China) with the participation of many Taiwanese (China) investors, opening up many opportunities to attract large investments for the city.
