Delegations of travel agencies and media agencies from Taiwan (China), Vietnamese travel agencies specializing in organizing tours to welcome international visitors to Vietnam, travel agencies from Ninh Binh province, Ho Chi Minh City and the North Central region visited the exhibition area, introducing typical tourism products, gifts, handicrafts, and OCOP products. Within the framework of the event, the above units also verified typical culinary products in Thanh Hoa and participated in the Conference on promoting the market of Taiwanese (China) tourists to Thanh Hoa.

In recent times, tourism links between Thanh Hoa province and Taiwan (China) have increasingly developed, achieving many outstanding results.
After the 10th Vietnam-Taiwan (China) Tourism Cooperation Conference in late 2023 in Thanh Hoa, the tourist market from Taiwan (China) - Vietnam is increasingly being effectively exploited by tourism businesses on both sides.
Thanh Hoa is always in the top of the country in attracting the number of tourists, in which international tourists have grown steadily over the years. However, the number of international visitors to Thanh Hoa only accounts for 4.2-4.7% of the total number of visitors each year.

Standing Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi requested businesses to share the negative aspects, support Thanh Hoa in perfecting tourism products, and spreading a good image to the people of Taiwan (China). At the same time, he requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa to fully absorb the opinions of the survey team, maintain and promote the positive aspects, proactively advise, propose and overcome the negative aspects; improve the quality and effectiveness of advertising, promotion, and linking tours and tourism routes; maintain close contact with tourism businesses of Taiwan (China) to do a good job of establishing and exploiting the two-way tourist market of Thanh Hoa-Taiwan (China).
Localities, areas and tourist spots should strengthen the organization of activities, build new, unique and special products and services, and connect to attract tourists; promote information, promote historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, festivals and good traditional cultural values of Thanh Hoa people to domestic and international tourists and friends in many forms and on various platforms.

Thanh Hoa provincial leaders also requested the Tourism Association and tourism businesses to continuously improve and maintain product quality, diversify tourism services; actively develop and apply many forms of stimulus, promotion, and attractive discounts; focus on developing new products, meeting new market trends, coordinating to participate in organizing cultural, sports, and tourism events; promote links with the Tourism Association, tourism businesses of Taiwan (China) and provinces and cities in the country and abroad to act as a bridge to bring tourists from Taiwan (China) to Thanh Hoa in particular and Vietnam in general.

At the conference, delegates watched videos and clips, listened to businesses introduce an overview of destinations and typical tourism products in Thanh Hoa.
Enterprises from Taiwan (China) shared their feelings about the land, people of Thanh Hoa, and tourism products; suggested that there should be a strategy to promote the value while preserving the World Cultural Heritage of the Ho Dynasty Citadel, and that the artifacts should be annotated and introduced in many foreign languages. Continue to train, foster, and improve foreign language skills for tourism human resources, pay attention to building green, clean, and environmentally friendly spaces, pay attention to preserving ecological diversity, protecting the environment at Cam Luong fish stream, and preserving indigenous cultural products and unique identities.
Some Taiwanese (Chinese) businesses also requested to provide more information on connecting traffic infrastructure, destinations, sea and island tourism products, heritage, spirituality, and community ecology to continue perfecting connecting tourism products.

At the conference, Thanh Hoa and Taiwan (China) enterprises signed a memorandum of understanding, specifying cooperation and connecting bilateral tourism exploitation.
Thanh Hoa continues to support domestic and international business and press delegations to survey, develop products, and connect tourism tours to Thanh Hoa; support local businesses and communities to develop tourism economy, create changes in service quality and tourism environment, contributing to promoting sustainable tourism growth in Thanh Hoa province.
